P4 visit to Irish Linen Museum and a surprise visit from Santa!
5th Dec 2019
P4 had an amazing day out at the Irish Linen Museum in Lisburn. We went on a ‘Flax to Fabric’ tour of the museum, finding out about all of the different processes and stages flax had to be taken through to get to the end product. Some of our children had a go ‘spinning a yarn’ and linking fairytales with a spinning wheel. The children also created their own myth/legend/ fairytale puppet. Can you think of two fairytales that had a spinning wheel in them?
We also had a surprise visit from Santa himself. He was very impressed with all of the children in P4 and said how well behaved they have been this year.
Merry Christmas! 🎅
