P3 Trip to Carrickfergus Castle

6th May 2022

What a wonderful day we had at Carrickfergus Castle!

We started off our day exploring some mystery boxes that had some medievil items inside. We had to put our hands into the boxes, feel the items and record what we thought they were on a sheet. We then received points for every item we got right.

After we had our snack, we went for our tour around the castle. We were able to have a look at the portcullis, the well, the Banquet room and so much more. We saw a lot of canons and were able to look through the large windows on the top floor over Carrickfergus. We even saw a dragon and found out how ‘Carrickfergus’ got its name! We got to see what real armour looks like and sit in the banquet hall like kings and queens. It was a lot of fun and we didn't want to leave!

We hope you enjoy looking at our pictures.
