P3 Trip to Carrickfergus Castle

6th May 2022

What a wonderful day we had!

We started off our day exploring some mystery boxes. We had to put our hands inside the boxes, guess what the medieval items were and record our thoughts on a sheet. Every time we got one right, we received a point. It was a lot of fun!

After our snack, we went for a tour around the castle. We got to see the portcullis, the well, the Banquet Hall and so much more. We were fascinated by the armour and when peaking out the windows on the top floor, looking over Carrickfergus. Getting to sit like kings and queens was one of our favourite experiences and finding out where ‘Carrickfergus’ got its name was really interesting too!

We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
