Mighty measurements in P5

Recently P5 worked hard on measure in Maths. We looked at length, capacity, height and perimeter. The children got to measure the perimeter of Numicon and Lego. We also measured the length of the playgrounds, the 4G pitch , our wrist to our elbow and then our feet to see if they were the same length.

 

We also looked at capacity with different measuring cylinders and finally measured our height. At the end of P5 we will measure the children’s height again to see how much they have grown...and to see if Mr Higginson has shrunk.
