This week was Children’s Mental Health Week which involved the children taking part in different activities promoting positive mental health, talking about why good mental health is important and good examples of maintaining good emotional well-being.
On Wednesday Julie, our school counsellor, delivered an assembly all about Children’s Mental Health Week.
On the same day the P7 class visited Mountcollyer Youth Club. This was an all-day event and featured 5 workshops around the theme ‘Know Yourself To Grow Yourself’ ‘Plant and Play’ (arts & crafts); ‘Little Penny Thoughts’ (journalling); ’Dance’ (hip-hop); ’Fight to Thrive’ (boxing) and ’Ai and digital resilience’. It was a brilliant day. Thank you to David Logan (Cregagh EA Youth Worker) who organised and invited us to the event.
